Fees and charges
Our fees and charges have been developed to reflect our core philosophy of member equity. As a financial cooperative our charter is to minimise costs to members (customers) while managing costs incurred by the organisation (which impact on members as shareholders).
Our user-pays fee structure is designed to give everyone responsibility and control in their use of Credit Union resources... and the opportunity to avoid paying fees. Click here to view our tips for minimising fees (PDF).
It’s easy to reduce or eliminate your fee outlay by planning your financial routine and choosing from the variety of banking options we offer.
How does it work?
- Each transaction attracts a fee directly reflecting its cost. Each member accrues fees according to the type of transaction they perform.
- The value of the rebate will vary from $0 to $50 depending on your Credit Union loans/savings relationship.
- All charges and your rebate are itemised on the last page of your account.
Tips for Fee Free banking
- Plan your expenditure to minimise ATM and over-the-counter withdrawals
- If you have a VISA Debit Card, use the Credit option at the terminal rather than EFTPOS
- Use NetAccess and Tele-Access for paying bills, checking balances and transferring funds
